The Most Recent Lies of Nancy Pelosi

On June 12th 2009, protestors gathered in Houston, TX to protest Nancy Pelosi at the Wortham Center where she was having an event to promote herself and the policies of the Obama administration.

Nancy Pelosi has been the center of much controversy in recent months. Most noteable is her accusation of being mislead by the CIA, which is a serious accusation which deserves investigation. If the CIA is not trustworthy in its reports to leadership in DC then some kind of changes need to be made and I am sure heads will roll over it. On the other hand and far more likely, is that Pelosi is lying and trying to cover her own political missteps over the years. She's not going to come out now and say she was for water boarding and she knew all about it because it is not in step with what Obama is promoting. She is also not likely to come out and say that after 9/11 she was the only one in DC who was not concerned about getting the truth from the thugs who masterminded the attacks. No, there is no place for Pelosi to hide now except to claim she just didn't know. She can't take responsibility for not knowing so she cowardly blamed the CIA. I think this will come back to bite her big time as the middle name of the CIA is "intelligence", something that seems to be lacking in Pelosi's repertoire these days.

Another lie of late involves her logic regarding removing languange from a resolution that passed the House that would have prevented the release of the detainee photos which Obama has said he will not release because they would endanger the lives of the troops. Now, if he really believed that he would classify the photos. Pelosi and the democrats who pushed to have this language expunged from the resolution want to keep those photos available for future political warfare, unconcerned about the potential risk to soldiers and for those of us civilians here in America who may be the innocent victims of home grown terrorism or imported terrorism(courtesy of this administration and the last one). Pelosi along with Louise Slaughter, Joe Lieberman, and Lindsey Graham did not want the release of the photos banned. In a sudden new regard for rule of law, Nancy Pelosi claims that there is concern in the House that the ban would be in conflict with FOIA. Now, the House could have taken a step to protect the men who put their lives on the line for our country but instead it is political warfare as usual.

Liberals are posting all over the internet on blogs and commenting on articles that the CIA lied and not Pelosi. That almost sounds like the black helicopter talk that they accuse the right of so often. Why is it that liberals are unquestioning their leader in the House? It's in the best interest of all citizens, liberal or conservative or inbetween to be objective and look at the facts of the situation. Pelosi has lied to us, or at the very minumum changed her position without owning up to that fact on more than one occassion. I think Mrs. Pelosi lacks the convictions of her positions.

Pelosi also tried to rewrite the Catholic Church's position on abortion in a TV interview earlier thhis year. She intimated that the church has on ongoing discussion about abortion. No, the church is against abortion.

Another lie from Pelosi: She claimed to had made great diplomatic breakthroughs with Israel and Syria, but her claims were refuted by the Prime Minister of Israel and she also failed to see the insincerity of Asad's claims to want to broker peace.

It's almost like a drama watching all the lies unfold as the days of the Obama administration go by.
